MPA
Construction Project Management

Many health care facilities are reaching or surpassing their useful lives. Alternative methods of delivery and the shift in the public demand for health care services make it difficult, if not impossible, to compete in today's marketplace with out-dated equipment and buildings. Capital investment in renovation or new/replacement construction may be needed to stay in business.

A successful project must be developed within the confines of a comprehensive program. Such a program includes not only service offerings and space needs, but also a detailed budget and a business plan that determines financial feasibility. With the proper planning and market positioning, a project can generate enough revenue to cover operating expenses and the new debt service payments.

MPA's methodology emphasizes:

  1. The understanding and delineating of changes in the demand for health care services in the provider service area;
  2. The specification of the issues, variables and assumptions needed to develop a business plan and integrate it within the project/construction budget;
  3. The early integration of the professional disciplines – architect, consulting engineers, construction manager, project coordinator - necessary to develop a business plan and a project/construction budget.
  4. The discipline of updating the financial model frequently to assure the project remains within its feasibility parameters.
